Alice Anderson is the winemaker and farmer behind Âmevive, a small California wine project rooted in regenerative farming and a deep connection to place. After studying wine and viticulture at Cal Poly, Alice travelled to Central Otago, where working at Amisfield and biodynamic pioneer Rippon proved pivotal in shaping her approach to land stewardship. She later worked in France’s Northern Rhône before returning to California. Today, Alice and her partner, Topher De Felice, farm historic vineyards using no-till practices, cover crops, compost and integrated animals including sheep, chickens and ducks. Through Âmevive, Alice is creating expressive wines while nurturing a diverse, living vineyard ecosystem.

Beyond Organic Wine

Adam Huss is a winemaker, writer and host of the Beyond Organic Wine podcast, exploring how winegrowing can move beyond organic certification towards truly ecological and regenerative systems. He has been writing about wine since 2004, making wine since 2007 and growing grapes since 2012. Adam makes wine under his Centralas label from organically farmed vineyards and farms Crenshaw Cru, a diverse permaculture wine garden in Los Angeles. More recently, he has begun developing Wineforest Farm in New York, experimenting with vitiforestry and married-vine polyculture. Through his podcast and practical work, Adam connects wine, agriculture and ecology, challenging conventional thinking and imagining a more resilient future.
